MANDATORY POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or as I call it "The Bright-side Theory"

The assignment was to find a blog of someone who has a similar point of view to me and then find someone who has a different point of view.  check it out!

I love checking in on MARY SPRINGER'S blog because I swear our brains are either identical or similar or from the same neighborhood. I thoroughly believe that Mary has taken this whole blog project and made it her own. I have noticed that some students have the blog, do the assignments, and then toast. Others have put a piece of themselves (mind, personality, emotion, all of the above) into this technological journal on the world wide web. Whenever I am reading Marys stuff I feel like I am sitting there listening to her tell it to me because of how much personality she uses in her writing. Mary and I have very similar leadership styles (conclusion made based on comparing PMAI scores and day to day interactions with the individual) and more importantly we share the same kind of funny. I rate friendships on amount of funny, and I'll admit I am a very special person, so it is hard to score allota funny on my scale. I swear comedy can cure cancer but the gov't is evil so they managed to pump the breaks on that one; however, humor and comedy are very appropriate in many situations and it is also appropriate in many successful situations so therefore it is appropriate in many successful situations (go on, read it again, I promise it makes sense). I guess the point I was trying to make is that people have many points of views, many ways of tackling a problem, many ways of dealing with stress/challenges/people, and Mary and I share a very similar mentality in our approach. I believe being positive, helpful, direct, and comical will someway or another bring success!
I call it the Bright-side Theory. Harvard Business Journal Article to follow

For a different point of view, I selected.....wait a second.
I obviously have not read everyones blog, but of the blogs that I have gandered at it is apparent that there is allot more similarities across the blogs as opposed to differences. Allow me to explain.
We are all students in the same class with the same project: build a leadership blog. Furthermore, we are all assigned the same assignments and asked to use the same character instruments. We then comment on the same basis because we are all responding to the same question.
"Discuss the traits you think are most important for a leader to have?" everyone is going to answer the same: integrity, honesty, passion, driven, etc. This is just one example.
Most responses to the questions all float in the same ball park.
We all are striving to build a philosophy that works for us, but underneath the different wording, styles, and presentation, we all have the same core.

We all have different view points but were all the same.

If you are confused at what just happened, I will be happy to explain.

  1. Daniel, this is my first time checking your page and I knew going into it, I would find someone funny, englighting, and different. Thank you for fulfilling all of these. The begin, your music choice gave me a boost of energy since it is a Friday night and I am doing hw. Thank you for that. For enlighting, I liked how you said you thought a lot of our blogs were similar but that we all have different view points. I agree. Even though most of us have been going to school together for four years in the same classes with the same teachers teaching the same theories, we are still able to think for ourselves and come up with new leadership styles and results. Thank you Daniel for your input. I would enjoy working with you as my leader. I think you could be able to communicate the goals very well.
